Job Description:
Primarily responsible to define the training policies, training program & its implementation; and the term of reference of all the training personnel.
Key Responsibility:
- To provide appropriate and adequate training standard acceptable to the company and relevant National
Aviation Authorities. - To acquire or produce suitable technical and non-technical courses for the training and development of
SAE personnel. - To acquire and maintain suitable training aids including classrooms multimedia systems, printing and
training room’s facilities. - To acquire and maintain a conducive classroom facility and environment as stipulated by Authorities.
- To ensure the Training Needs Analysis is performed with the collaboration of the respective department
within SAE. - To undertake the necessary corrective actions resulting from the quality compliance monitoring and audit
program. - To establish all training records including continuation training records for all relevant SAE personnel are
maintained and updated as required. - To establish and maintain an effective and economical administrative system in the department.
- To establish and ensure that all assets of the department are properly utilised, maintained and accounted
for at all times. - To support and conduct technical and non-technical courses as required by the company.
- To establish and ensure update of all training and qualification of all instructors and trainers records.
- To ensure that Competence Development Section has sufficient instructors with appropriate qualifications,
in possession of correct skills and current on the latest methods, procedures and requirements by reviewing the requirement status every 24 months to provide appropriate training to the staff. - To consult and liaise with Quality Department on matters pertaining to NAA approval of courses and training.
- To monitor the progress of all courses to ensure that a high level of quality and performance standard.
- To ensure that all examination question banks are complete, controlled, updated and secured at all times.
- To plan or outsource staff development program for the improvement of competency and technical
knowledge of the staff. - Responsible for the following SMS responsibility and safety accountabilities:
- Be responsible and accountable for the execution of safety policy and remedies associated with the activities of their particular department. Department's safety performance will be reviewed and assessed as appropriate.
- Ensure that the safety performance of all activities associated with their operations complies fully with the legislation, including the management and renewal of any operating/ safety licenses that are required and development of appropriate procedures. If there are any changes of process work, the department should inform Safety Section immediately.
- Ensure that all operations follow procedures stated in the SAE Safety Management Plan, Safety Procedures Manual, Maintenance Manuals, Engineering Procedures Manuals, etc. Raise the issues and consult Safety section if in doubt.
- Ensuring that sound safety working practices are regularly observed.
- Serve as role model of safety for all.

- To ensure that maintenance on the aircraft meets the requirements of the airworthiness authorities and the company and that the aircraft is fit for release to service as stipulated in his/her approval certificate

Scope of Position
Shall be able to work, install, repair, and replace the sheet metal components of an aircraft, including various structural assemblies and sub-assemblies. Sheet Metal Mechanics perform complex structural repairs to keep aircraft up to specifications. Ability to read technical drawings.
